Learn the basics of A4Forms
Start by clicking 'New Form' in your dashboard. Choose from our template library or start from scratch. Add fields using the drag-and-drop builder, customize styling, and publish when ready.
A4Forms supports various field types: text, email, number, select, checkboxes, file uploads, and more. Each field can be customized with validation rules, placeholder text, and conditional logic.
Master the form builder
Show or hide fields based on user responses. Click on any field, go to 'Logic' settings, and set conditions like 'Show this field if...' to create dynamic forms.
Add validation rules to ensure quality data. Set fields as required, add regex patterns for custom validation, or use built-in validators for email, phone, and more.
Work together with your team
Go to Settings > Team and click 'Invite Member'. Enter their email and assign a role (Admin, Editor, or Viewer). They'll receive an invitation email to join your workspace.
Admins have full access, Editors can create and modify forms, and Viewers can only view forms and submissions. Manage permissions in team settings.
Connect with other tools
Configure webhooks to send form submissions to external services. Go to Form Settings > Integrations > Webhooks, add your endpoint URL, and test the connection.
Generate API keys from your account settings. Include the key in request headers as 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY'. See our API documentation for endpoints.
Keep your data safe
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption. Your forms and submissions are stored securely on our servers.
Control who can access your forms with password protection, email verification, or single sign-on (SSO). Configure access settings in Form Settings > Security.
Common issues and solutions
Check your form validation settings, ensure all required fields are filled, and verify your internet connection. Clear browser cache if issues persist.
Ensure you've copied the complete embed code. Check that your website allows iframe embeds and there are no Content Security Policy restrictions.
